Olympic Sledding Secret-Gaffers Tape

skeleton sled covered with gaffers tapeBrad Stewart, a member of the US Skeleton Team, revealed that gaffers tape is used on their one man sleds to cover the sled’s components and provide a flat surface for the rider.

The tape they use has special characteristics that keep it flexible and sticky in cold weather and because there is no no adhesive residue when the tape is removed.
