Marley Floors-Long Gone But Not Forgotten

“Marley” has long been the term used for portable vinyl dance floors, even though the company that brought this type of flooring is long gone.

Marley Floors was a British company started in 1948 in Kent, England.

Vinyl flooring was only one of their products, but by the time Marley went out of business almost 40 years ago, the term had become so popular that it survived and is now used to describe a number of different manufacturers’ products.
