Floor Doesn’t Fit? Consider This Before Cutting

If you always use your Marley-type floor in the same space and it doesn’t fit exactly, you may want to consider cutting it.

Before you actually whip out the knife, make sure that your floor has acclimated to the ambient temperature in your space. Vinyl is impacted by heat, and a warm floor will be just a little larger (longer) than when it is cold.

Once you are ready to cut, make sure you mark it using a straightedge. Always use a sharp mat knife and protect the surface underneath.
